An exciting new chapter begins…

Girls Make Games was founded in 2014 to provide girls with a space to explore the world of video games.

Over the last decade, GMG’s alumni have gone on to graduate from high school, college and on to jobs in the games industry as well as wider STEAM fields.

But our work is far from done.

Women make up less than 24% of gamedevs in the US and yet we know nearly half of all gamers are girls & women.

The path from summer camp to industry isn’t straightforward. Through our students' journeys, we have witnessed the gaps that exist in the college space - there's a lack of community, guidance and funding for degrees that would lead to careers in games.

That is where the Girls Make Games Scholarship Fund comes in, to provide students with the support they need to reach their potential.
