CRITICAL REFLEX and TALLBOYS reveal the Colossal Policeman immersive sim for consoles for the first time with a new trailer at the Xbox @ Gamescom Showcase

COLOGNE, Germany – Aug. 27, 2026 – After a long slumber, HE wakes! CRITICAL REFLEX and TALLBOYS announced during the Xbox @ Gamescom Showcase that the surreal, kafkaesque first-person immersive sim Militsioner will launch in 2027 on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass for PC and console. Explore an expansive city at your own pace, negotiate with its suspicious residents, avoid the watchful eye of the Colossal Policeman, and do whatever you must to escape.

You're an ordinary nobody who hasn't done anything noteworthy, let alone… a crime. Must be a mistake, but this morning you were arrested. Pack your stuff and leave as fast as possible, but be wary – every move you make is being followed by a Colossal Policeman. Navigate the city and escape by using your wits – and remember, every problem has multiple solutions. Run, hide, lie, steal, snitch, sneak… But keep on guard. The town and the Policeman are watching.

Key Features

• Non-Linear Action: You have tons of freedom to find your own solution to each obstacle. Decide how to spend your time, where to go, who to trust…or snitch on. Run, hide, sneak around, bribe, lie, and manipulate others to get what you want, or break the law and steal what you need. The risks – and the rewards – are yours to discover.
• Tamagotchi-Like Relationships: Every character – including the Colossal Policeman – has their own mood you can influence with a reactive conversation system. Keep the townsfolk happy with flattery and gifts, but be careful not to upset them or they may try to turn you in. You can even go on a date with the Giant! Just be mindful when he’s on duty…
• Dynamic World & Exploration: The city is alive and constantly changing, with new people, places, and secrets around every corner. Each character has their own schedule, and you can change the time of day to find new ways forward. Real-time flooding opens up new areas to discover, and even the eclipse comes with its own intense surprises.
